Clatsop Community Bank Makes 100-Best List for Fifth Consecutive Year

January 15, 2014 SEASIDE, OR – Clatsop Community Bank was named among the “100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon” for the fifth consecutive year by Oregon Business magazine.

Rankings are based on the confidential input of employees who answered 25 questions about workplace satisfaction, including benefits, management, trust, work environment and career development. The list will be released in rank order at a special event hosted by the magazine February 27 at the Oregon Convention Center. 248 companies competed to be on the list this year, and more than 11,000 employees across the state completed surveys that were used to determine the magazine’s annual list of top employers.

“I’m so proud to be part of Clatsop Community Bank,” said Joe Schulte, president and CEO. “Six years ago, we set out to create a true, locally-owned bank for the Clatsop County market, and it’s gratifying to know how much our customers value having that option. Our employees take pride in that, too.”

“We really focus on fostering an environment where employees can be successful,” said Derith Andrew, vice-president of operations. “I’ve been with Clatsop Community Bank since we opened, and enjoy the challenges and responsibilities I’ve been entrusted with as part of this team. The sense of ownership our employees have in their jobs is key to the customer experience we’ve become known for,” she added.

Established in 2008, Clatsop Community Bank is the only bank locally owned in Clatsop County, and has branches in Seaside and Astoria, Oregon.
