French’s Gutters and Sheetmetal—Seaside, October 2013
“I like keeping my money local,” said Jerry French, when asked why he chose Clatsop Community Bank. “The relationship with them is personal—like family,” he said. “The staff remembers me and knows me by name, and they treat my crew the same way,” he added.
Jerry owns French’s Gutters and Sheet Metal in Gearhart, and is big on doing business locally. “I refer local contractors when people ask me about services I don’t provide,” he said. He also encourages his crew to bank locally, as he does.
“I have no complaints about my experience with Clatsop Community Bank. It couldn’t be any better,” Jerry said.
Jerry has been in business since the late ‘80s, when he bought the company from his brother, Jesse, who is also a local contractor. His company designs and installs copper, aluminum, stainless steel and 28 colors of continuous gutter systems. He’s also developed the French Cut Outlet, a patented gutter component that is attracting a lot of attention in the market, including from the military. “There’s great potential in it,” he said of the design.
“We offer all the bells and whistles, including gutter covers and screens,” Jerry said. “We don’t do shortcuts, and we provide the best materials for the dollar. Customer satisfaction is our number-one priority.”
